THANK YOU
Logistics Committee
The Bulldozer Committee
Dear Esteemed Members of the Logistics Committee,
Some committees make an event successful. Others make the event possible.
As we reflect on the celebration of the life of our beloved husband, father and brother, Pa Ndambi Paul Angemba, one phrase continually comes to mind whenever we think of this team: 'The Bulldozer Committee.'
Not because you were loud. Not because you sought attention. But because, like a bulldozer, you simply kept moving.
When obstacles appeared, you pushed through them. When impossible deadlines emerged, you found a way. When new demands surfaced without warning, you did not stop to complain, you simply adjusted, regrouped and delivered.
The website that now continues to preserve Dad's memories for generations. The flyers that informed and guided hundreds of people. The banners that welcomed family and friends from near and far. The elegant roll-up stand and large photos that greeted guests with dignity. The souvenir bowls and remembrance stickers that people proudly carried home. More than 530 beautifully prepared funeral booklets that found their way into the hands of mourners.
And then came the countless assignments that were never written on your Terms of Reference.
'Can Logistics handle this?' 'We just remembered something...' 'This wasn't planned...' 'We need it urgently.' 'Can it be done today?'
Almost every unexpected request somehow found its way to your table.
And almost every time, your answer was not an excuse, it was a solution.
If someone needed something designed, Logistics. If something had to be printed, Logistics. If information had to reach people quickly, Logistics. If no one knew who should handle it, it somehow became Logistics.
Yet through all of this, you never lost your commitment to excellence.
One of the most remarkable gifts you gave our family is something that cannot be measured. You gave us confidence.
Long after the last visitor has returned home, your work continues to speak.
The website still welcomes visitors from around the world. The photographs continue to tell Dad's story. The printed materials have become treasured keepsakes in many homes. The memories you helped preserve will outlive every one of us. That is a legacy few people ever have the privilege of creating.
To every member of this extraordinary committee. To every designer. To every installer. To every driver. To every printer. To every coordinator. To every person who quietly carried drinks and food, mounted banners, answered calls, solved problems and stayed awake long after everyone else had gone to sleep: thank you.
Thank you for showing us what servant leadership looks like in action.
We pray that the God who sees every hidden act of service will richly reward your labour. May He strengthen your hands for even greater assignments. May every investment of your time, energy, creativity and resources return to you many times over. And just as you helped build something beautiful in honour of Dad, may God establish and enlarge everything that concerns your own families.
You were more than the Logistics Committee.
You were our Bulldozer Committee.
And for that, we will remain forever grateful.
With deep admiration and heartfelt appreciation,
