Today, we gather with heavy hearts but grateful hearts to celebrate the life of my beloved father. It is still hard to believe that he is gone. It all feels like a dream. He left us too soon, but I thank God for the privilege of having him as my Dad. My father was a man of principle, wisdom, and quiet strength. He guided us with love and led by example. One memory I will always cherish is how he would switch off the lights when I stayed up too late studying. At the time, I didn't understand, but today I know it was simply a father's way of caring for his child. He faithfully served God throughout his life. His faith was reflected in his humility, kindness, and the way he treated everyone around him. He believed in peace, unity, and togetherness. Whenever there was disagreement in the family, he always sought reconciliation. Dad was incredibly organized. He always carried a pen and a notebook or piece of paper, carefully writing sermon notes, daily events, and even recording every gift he received. His files were neatly labeled, and everything had its place. During one of his doctor's visits, I was surprised when the doctor proudly showed me the detailed glucose chart Dad had designed himself. It was another reminder of how disciplined and meticulous he was. He was a gentle man. Kind-hearted. Calm. Patient and soft spoken. Some of my happiest memories are the simple ones. Dad loved preparing my favorite meal, fufu corn. He was the fufu expert! And every time he called me "Nyeck," I felt the love only a father can give. That name will forever hold a special place in my heart. Dad, thank you for your love, your guidance, your sacrifices, and the godly example you left for us. You taught us that true greatness is found in serving God and loving others. Although our hearts are broken, we take comfort in God's promises. We know that those who trust in the Lord have the hope of eternal life. Dad, you will always have a special place in my heart. Your love, your wisdom, and your legacy will live on through all of us.
